Clodette D. Victor

Age 31:

My journey to wellness has been filled with trial and error, but I’m not mad. Trial and error made it possible for me to finally get it right - completely right.
Q What do you do everyday on your journey?

AWellness is my lifestyle, so on a daily basis I meditate and pray before I start my day. Doing so affords me the strength and peace needed to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

[symple_box color="blue" text_align="left" width="100%" float="none"] No more excuses. No more giving up. I simply refuse to be defeated! Life will throw a few curve balls at you for sure, but it’s up to you to allow it to make you, not break you. I allowed it to make me and I haven’t looked back.

Q What are your lifestyle choices?

A

I use P90X and Insanity DVDs for those days I can't go to the gym.

I love leg days: lunges, squats, sprints, and burpees are my friends.

My weakness could be sweets, so I incorporate lots of healthy, organic smoothies to beat those cravings.

I work out for an hour to an hour and a half, 4-5 days per week. My workouts consist of cardio and strength training.

I supplement my meals with protein shakes, whey and wheatgrass.

Mrs. Dash is one of my favorite seasonings.

Blackened tilapia or chicken with brown rice and string beans is one of my staple meals.

I treat myself to cheat meals on the weekends, but I do so in moderation.

I drink at least a gallon of water a day.

QAny health tips?

A

Veggies. Veggies. Veggies. Fish. Fish. Fish. You see where I’m going with this, yes?

Look for motivation. Offer motivation.

Consistency trumps all.

Gym memberships are not a requirement to get fit. Be creative and get moving.

Never give up. Never give up. Never, ever give up!
